Rescue Mission Throws Birthday Bash For Homeless

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – No birthday goes forgotten for the homeless in South Florida.

All festivities, held across South Florida, were part of the "Bombastic Birthday Bash."

Billy the Marlin and members of the Marlins organization teamed up to serve clients at the Miami Rescue Mission in Miami Thursday morning. The Hollywood Center served lunch and played games and, in Pompano, an Italian-style dinner was served with decorations made by kids.

"This is just another way to show homeless men and women that they are not forgotten and they can receive help to get off the streets," according to the press release put out by the rescue mission.
