Pines Social Security Office Evacuated Over Alleged Bomb Threat

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) -- An alleged bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a Social Security Office in Pembroke Pines Friday morning.

People were also seen evacuating nearby buildings between 500 and 700 North Hiatus Road.

Officers said the officer got a call from a man who was upset he was possibly losing his social security benefits.

Workers told investigators they know who the man is.

Chopper4 was over the scene where crime scene tape was set up while people were being evacuated.

K-9 crews and bomb squad were called out to the scene as a precaution.
