MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Someone, perhaps feeling extra generous this holiday season, dropped a gold coin wrapped in a dollar bill inside a red kettle in Pompano Beach Saturday.

The gold coin was deposited into the Salvation Army's red kettle at the Walmart on Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The donation, discovered two days later, is the first time the Salvation Army in Broward has received a gold coin.

The coin is a 1947 Mexican peso which will be sold for its estimated value of $1500.
