2 Florida Teens Charged With Murder After Fatal Opa-locka Shooting Earlier This Week

OPA-LOCKA (CBSMiami) – Glenda Medina lost the love of her life on Monday, all for about $50 and a fake gold chain.

Police said 16-year-old Antione Lynch robbed, then shot and killed Omar Alvarez Monday afternoon in front of his house.

Lynch and his alleged getaway driver Jaquavius Matthews were arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Medina, Alvarez's girlfriend said, "He was heartless. He didn't care. He left two little girls without a father."

Police said Alvarez was standing behind a car when Lynch walked up and forced him to give up his money.

Alvarez can been seen on a home's surveillance struggling on the sidewalk as the shooter grabs his belongings and takes off.

Police said Lynch shot the father of two several times and he later died at the hospital.

"It's hard it's hard everyone is going through it hard," said Medina. "I wish I could turn back time and change a lot of things and I miss him so much already."

Turning back time and remembering the good times are the only things seeing her through.

"He was so happy when we went on a romantic flight and after that I took him to dinner for his birthday," she said.

Glenda said his eldest daughter asks for him constantly, but they don't have the heart to tell her he's gone.

"His oldest daughter Papi was her best friend and they don't know how they're going to tell her," she said.

Police say the suspects tried selling Alvarez's items but they didn't get much. They're being held without bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

They're facing several charges including first degree murder.
