MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A mother and father are asking the community to break their silence in the murder of their teenage daughter.

Antquinisha Flowers, 18, and her cousin, 17-year-old Arthur Mann, were shot last Thursday around 9 p.m. in the Liberty Square Public Housing Complex off N.W. 67th Avenue and 12th Avenue.

Flowers wouldn't survive.

Now with very little to go on, her mother, Shannell Flowers, and father, Anthony Clinch, hope someone from the community comes forward with information about her killer.

"I can't talk to her no more, I can do nothing with her no more," said the distraught mother. "People don't know how I'm feeling inside. I feel like I just want to break. I just want to lay down. I'm just tired."

Officers arrived to the scene to find the teenagers suffering from gunshot wounds.

"The victims were standing outside their house as the vehicle drove by. They were shot," said Miami Police Det. Anthony Reyes. "We know people are out there talking, we need them to come forward."

Antquinish's death is an extremely painful reminder of something the family went through 13 years ago when Shanell's mother was shot to death at the very same spot in 2003.

"That's heartbreaking," she said. "They need to turn their selves in because it's not right and I know they looking at the news and see what's going on."

It's a seemingly never-ending cry from a community terrorized and grief-stricken by guns.

"How many kids and how many people are they gonna take from us before anybody come out and help us," asked Antquinisha's aunt, Lakisha Flowers. "We need help."

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
