BOCA RATON (CBSMiami/AP) – A 90-year-old man, dissatisfied with his service at a post office, is accused of threatening an employee with a handgun.

The man pointed the handgun at the employee Monday, threatening to "blow his head off," according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Responding deputies took him into custody outside the post office. An incident report says deputies recovered the firearm and placed it into evidence.

The man's name wasn't released. He was taken to West Boca Medical Center for evaluation. Officials say that once he's released, he'll be booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on the state charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Federal postal police are expected to file charges of bringing a gun into a post office.
