HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – It was a deadly Saturday night at the Rainbow Inn Motel in Hialeah.

According to authorities, one man shot another man in the back of the hotel, located on Okeechobee Road.

Norian Pino, 33, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital after the shooting, where he was pronounced dead, said Hialeah Police.

Investigators believe both men likely knew each other but it is unclear what led to the shooting.

Julia De La Rivera, who lives in a mobile home just behind the motel, told CBS4 that she heard two gunshots. Moments later, sirens were blaring as police arrived.

De La Rivera added that although things happen in the area from time to time, the neighborhood is pretty quiet and problem-free.

Now the concern for her is that the gunman is still on the loose.

An investigation is underway.
