Sawgrass Expressway Reopen After Deadly Motorcycle Crash
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - All lanes of the Sawgrass Expressway have reopened after the southbound lanes were shutdown in the wake of a deadly crash.
The crash, near Coral Ridge Drive on Tuesday morning, temporarily shut down the southbound lanes for hours on Tuesday.
Coral Springs police said the crash involved a 61-year-old motorcyclist who lost control and slammed into a guardrail. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Drivers were redirected to get off at University Drive. The closure caused a major back up.
