Burglars Steal $90,000 In Jewelry From Home

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A surveillance camera caught a pair of burglars at work in a Palmetto Bay home.

Now Miami-Dade police have made the video public so they can do a little catching of their own.

On March 22nd, a camera set up in the bedroom of 37-year old Raif Mansur's home at 8260 SW 152nd Street captured two masked men enter the room around 10 p.m. and ransacking it looking for valuables.

Investigators determined the pair got in through a window. Both were wearing black long sleeve shirts, blue jean shorts, black masks, gloves and black shoes.

Police said the men used pillow cases taken from home to haul away more than $90,000 in jewelry.

Manzur was not home at the time of the burglary.

Police say the security video is the only thing they have to go off of to catch these guys. They're hoping someone will recognize them from the video and give Crime Stoppers a call at (305) 471-TIPS.
