Body That Washed Up On Pompano Beach Identified

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - The body of a man who washed ashore near a Pompano Beach lifeguard tower Wednesday morning has been identified.

The Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide detectives said it was a long time Pompano Beach resident, 35-year old Narada Wright, who was last seen on Sunday.

A Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue lifeguard spotted the body floating toward the shore just south of East Atlantic Boulevard just before 9:30 a.m.

Investigators are waiting for the Medical Examiner to determine cause of death. They will then be able to determine whether foul play was involved.
