BROWARD (CBSMiami) – There is a big push to bring Uber back to Broward County.

A meeting is being held on Tuesday to discuss new rules for Uber drivers.

Ride sharing companies like Uber and Lyft stopped operating in Broward because of its strict requirements.

Now, Commissioner Mark Bogen is proposing a transportation network company ordinance.

It keeps requirements for background checks as well as liability insurance.

But the county would be responsible for enforcing oversight and making sure drivers are in full compliance.
