SigAlert Issued For Fatal Big Rig Crash On 710 Freeway

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed in a crash involving a big rig on the Long Beach (710) Freeway early Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened on the northbound 710 near West Del Amo Boulevard in Long Beach at 2:33 a.m., according to the CHP. It resulted in a vehicle ending up wedged under the big rig.

There were no immediate reports of other injuries. No information was immediately released on the person whow as killed.

A SigAlert was issued for two lanes and the shoulder at 3 a.m. All lanes were reopened at 8:17 a.m. and the SigAlert was canceled at that time.
