Rowland Heights Man Sentenced To 42 Years In Prison For Burglary, Rape

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A man who broke into a woman's apartment in Rowland Heights and raped her was sentenced to nearly 42 years in prison, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

Pablo Reyes Bautista, 27, of Rowland Heights, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life following his no contest plea Tuesday to one count each of forcible rape, sexual penetration by a foreign object, first-degree burglary with a person present, mayhem, assault with intent to commit a felony and false imprisonment.

Bautista also admitted allegations that he committed a kidnapping and great bodily injury during the commission of a sex offense.

The charges stemmed from an attack in the early morning hours of Oct. 27, 2012, on a woman who had been sleeping. Bautista was arrested in January 2014 after a DNA hit.
