CBS News Los Angeles

The California Highway Patrol was in pursuit of a motorcycle in Los Angeles County.

Officers began the chase in San Bernardino because the rider did not have license plates.

The motorcyclist continued to race through city streets and eventually the 210 Freeway at speeds as high as 100 mph. A police helicopter followed what officers believed was the suspect's motorcycle into East San Gabriel Valley through the 605 Freeway.

After a spotlight from the police helicopter followed him for several miles, the motorcyclist exited the freeway and waited for officers to detain him. A CHP officer detained him for a couple of hours until eventually letting him free.
