Monday Last Day To Register To Vote In California

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Planning to vote in this year's historic presidential election? Monday is your last day to register to vote in California.

Californians have until midnight Monday to register to vote for the first time or to update their voter registration information for the Nov. 8 General Election.

"Californians can register to vote online in just minutes at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. Online voter registration is mobile-friendly too, so you can even register from your smartphone or tablet," Secretary of State Alex Padilla said in a statement.

Residents who have moved or changed their names need to re-register.

Online voter registration is available in 10 languages, and paper voter registration forms are available at county elections offices, libraries, Department of Motor Vehicles offices and U.S. post offices.

To check your voter registration status, go to the Secretary of State's My Voter Status page.
