Jordan Mission Hosts Annual Christmas Celebration, Toy Giveaway On Skid Row

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Jordan Mission held its 70th Annual Christmas Celebration and toy giveaway Saturday on Skid Row.

Families were entertained by the likes of Goofy and other Disney characters, along with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Organizers handed out an estimated 60,000 toys to children in need, who also were given new shoes and warm clothing.

Elves passed out milk and cookies.

The mothers were given bags of groceries with all the makings for a nice Christmas dinner.

The Fred Jordan Mission has been serving those in need on Skid Row since 1944.
