Missing Oceanside Boy Found Safe In Mission Viejo

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A 12-year-old Oceanside boy who went missing in Irvine Friday morning was found safe Saturday.

Michael Edward Roman was last seen Friday morning at Kaiser Hospital.

Surveillance video at Kaiser showed the Roman leaving the hospital alone and heading toward Alton around 10:50 a.m. Friday. He did not have a cellphone or money in his possession, according to his family.

Irvine police reported Saturday that Roman was found safe in Mission Viejo at around 8 a.m. He was found by a loss prevention staff member at a Target store.

He has since been reunited with his family.
