Investigators Seek Public's Help To Find Driver Who Struck Man In San Clemente

SAN CLEMENTE (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's investigators in Orange County are seeking the public's help in finding a hit-and-run driver who struck a man in San Clemente.

The 18-year-old victim was hit around 11:45 p.m. Friday while crossing the road at East Avenida Pico and Calle Frontera, Gail Krause of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

Krause said evidence has revealed that the suspect's vehicle was a gold-colored GMC Yukon made between 2000 and 2006. It also could have been a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The SUV could have damage to its right front fender and may have lost a passenger side-view mirror and antenna, according to Krause.

Anyone with more information on the incident was asked to contact sheriff's investigators at (949) 425-1886 or (714) 647-7000.
