Hollywood Hills Man Worried About Repeated Car Crashes Outside Home

HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A Hollywood Hills man is worried about car crashes that are happening repeatedly outside his home.

KCAL9's Greg Mills reports a vehicle crashed through the guardrail and the wall that protects Brian Pembleton's property at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

"Large explosion, startled out of my sleep," Pembleton said. "Fourth time this has happened to us."

Pembleton took cellphone pictures of the crash that sent concrete blocks flying down the hill toward his house.

Pembleton's property is on the corner of Outpost and Mulholland drives. The posted speed limit is 15 mph.

"Clearly, the guardrail is not enough," he said. "Mulholland is a notoriously dangerous road."

Pembleton would like to see a concrete K-rail or a stop sign at the corner of Outpost and Mulholland.

"At some point, someone is going to launch themselves off this cliff and end up in my bedroom. And a lot of people are going to be hurt," he said.
