Girl, 16, Killed By Freight Train In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old old girl was struck and killed by a freight train in Santa Clarita Friday.

Paramedics were called to Soledad Canyon Road and Rainbow Glen Drive at approximately 10:20 a.m. following a report of an accident with an eastbound Union Pacific train.

Kimberly Jimenez-Soto, of Santa Clarita, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
