Explosion Sparks Fire At Oxnard Home

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday were investigating an explosion at a home in Ventura County.

The fire department was dispatched to a home in the 1600 block of East 1st Street, near Eliza Court, just before 3 a.m., officials said.

Authorities believe a gas line ruptured and sparked a fire, which spread to two homes.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured, but eight people were displaced as a result.
