Chilly Temperatures Move Into Southland

LOS ANGLES (CBSLA.com) — Temperatures dropped into the 30s in the high desert city of Lancaster overnight, and many other areas were also experiencing chilly temperatures Saturday morning.

KCAL9's Joy Benedict reports the chilly weather has allowed some resorts in the San Bernardino mountains, including Mountain High, to resume snowmaking in advance of the start of ski and snowboarding season later this month.

Cooler temperatures will continue throughout the week, with overnight lows continuing to dip into the 30s in the High Desert.

A freeze warning was in effect in the Antelope Valley Friday.
