Celebrities Rally With Community To Save Norms Restaurant On La Cienega

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Celebrities stood with historical preservationists outside Norms on La Cienega Boulevard Thursday and spoke in favor of saving the iconic restaurant.

"Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner, former Go-Gos singer Belinda Carlisle and other stars want to protect it from demolition. They're joining preservationists in asking customers to sign a petition to stop it from happening.

The restaurant has already been designated a historical cultural monument by the L.A. Cultural Heritage Commission, but the city council has yet to approve it. Their vote would keep Norms safe from bulldozers.

The eatery brings back many memories for entertainment industry insiders.
