3-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling From Hotel Courtyard Walkway In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A 3-year-old girl died Saturday after falling from the fifth story of a courtyard walkway at an Anaheim hotel, police say.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a hotel in the 3100 block of East Frontera Street around 6:30 p.m. after receiving a call of a child who had fallen from the inner courtyard area, according to Lt. Eric Trapp.

Paramedics arrived to find the child suffering from severe injury.

The child was transported to a local trauma center where she succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

According to Lt. Trapp, the family was in town from Las Vegas visiting family.

Officers and detectives from the Anaheim Police Department conducted an investigation and believe the child's death was a tragic accident.

The girl's name is being withheld until all her next of kin can be notified.
