Wildfire In Upper Peninsula's Marquette County Under Control

HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - An 80-acre wildfire in the Upper Peninsula is under control.

The fire was totally contained Saturday in Marquette County's Humboldt Township, and crews were working 100 feet or more inside the boundary of the blaze.

The Department of Natural Resources says no injuries have been reported, and no structures have been damaged. The fire was reported Thursday in an area of pulpwood, which was cut last winter.

Cooler temperatures and a high chance of rain will help Sunday, although crews are expected to keep an eye on hot spots for days.
