Police Search For Suspect Who Allegedly Robbed Bank In Royal Oak

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) -- Authorities have confirmed that bank robbery took place at the Fifth Third bank in Royal Oak on Saturday afternoon.

Police said a man went into the bank on Woodward between 12 and 13 Mile Rd., demanding money and indicated that he had a gun. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a medium-dark skinned black male, between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4, 30 to 40 years old, with a goatee and was wearing gardening gloves.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.

The Royal Oak Police Department in conjunction with the FBI is investigating this incident.

Several people pulled up to use the bank, only to find that it was closed.
