Michigan gas prices drop 11 cents this week, AAA reports

Average gas prices in Michigan dropped 11 cents this week, AAA-The Auto Club reported. 

Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.12 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 8 cents less than this time last month and 36 cents less than this time last year. 

That adds up to about $46 for a 15-gallon tank of gasoline. 

Compared to last week, Metro Detroit's average daily gas price decreased. Metro Detroit's current average is $3.18 per gallon, about 3 cents less than last week's average and 36 cents less than this same time last year. 

The most expensive gas price averages in Michigan this week were:  Ann Arbor ($3.22), Metro Detroit ($3.18) and Jackson ($3.13).

The least expensive gas price averages in Michigan this week were: Marquette ($3.04), Grand Rapids ($3.07) and Flint ($3.07).
