Georgia Man Vanishes After Stepping Off Bus In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Georgia man who mysteriously disappeared after stepping off a bus in Detroit.

According to police, 24-year-old James Wesley Johnson took a Greyhound bus from Augusta, GA, bound for Southfield, MI on December 13.

Police said Johnson arrived at the bus station in Detroit on December 14 and exited the bus, but did not continue on to Southfield.

Johnson is described as a white male, 5'9" tall and 140 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. It wasn't immediately clear if he currently has a beard or not.

It is believed that Johnson may be in the Oakland County area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office in Georgia at 706-541-2800, or Southfield police at 248-796-5500.
