Fiery Crash Kills One In Detroit, Shuts Down Road Near Michigan Avenue
A fiery crash near the Michigan Central Train Depot in Detroit left one person dead early Thursday.
The crash happened overnight on 14th Street near Michigan Avenue.
A driver hit a utility pole--the pole crashed to the ground, trapping the driver inside the car, which burst into flames.
14th Street was closed north of Michigan Avenue for several hours.

There's no word on whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash; The body was so badly burned, some media outlets reported Detroit police have been unable to determine if the deceased was a man or a woman.
