Debris Along I-696 Leaves Almost A Dozen Cars With Flat-Tires

WARREN (WWJ) - Monday morning started off with a bang for many commuters but not the celebratory kind.

In the area of eastbound I-696 near Ryan/Mound at least 10 cars by the side of the road on the right and left hand shoulder with reports of flat-tires after reports of metal debris in the road said WWJ's Bill Szumanski reported from Chopper 950.

A courtesy patrol van from MDOT helped several motorists change a tire to get them back on the road to begin the work week in earnest.
