Bengals Lineman Devon Still Buoyed By Daughter's Improvement

JOE KAY, AP Sports Writer

CINCINNATI (AP) — Devon Still is back in town for the Bengals' minicamp this week, relieved that his 5-year-old daughter seems to have turned the corner in her longstanding fight against cancer.

Leah Still developed a liver condition from her latest bout of chemotherapy. After three weeks in the hospital, she finally started showing improvement on Monday.

The defensive lineman was encouraged enough to return to Cincinnati for a three-day minicamp that opened on Tuesday. Still has been staying in shape in between spending time with his daughter at a hospital in Philadelphia. He wore his blue hospital identification band on his left wrist during practice.

Still is trying to hold onto a job as part of Cincinnati's rotation on the defensive line.
