2 Dead In Wrong-Way Crash On US-127

UNION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Two people are dead after a crash involving a pickup truck that was traveling the wrong way on U.S. 127 near Mount Pleasant.

The Isabella County sheriff's department says Ryan Tree of Shepherd and Scott Kuhnert of Bath were killed Friday night.

Tree was driving a pickup northbound in the southbound lanes of U.S. 127 when Kuhnert's car was hit head-on. Kuhnert's car then struck a third vehicle.

At least three other people were injured. Portions of the highway were closed for more than two hours.
