Woman Charged With Sexual Assault On A Young Girl

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman has been formally charged with sexual assault on a child following allegations that she repeatedly molested a young girl beginning in 2008.

Alexandria Kuisis has been charged with three counts of sexual assault on a child, three counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and sexual assault on a child- pattern of abuse.

The charges allege that in 2008, Kuisis, 41, began sexually assaulting the female victim who was eight years old at the time. The alleged abuse happened after Kuisis became a friend of the family.

The victim recently disclosed the assault and the subsequent investigation resulted in Kuisis' arrest in early September.

Kuisis has been released from custody on $50,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 6 for a second advisement.
