Power Line Knocked Down During Storm Causes Outages

DENVER (CBS4)- Several residents in the Baker Neighborhood suffered a power outage after a power line was knocked down on Thursday evening.

A power line near 5th and Bannock was knocked down during the storm just after 7 p.m. About 1,400 people were without power according to Xcel Energy's website.

Xcel Energy crews rushed to the scene to cordon off the area as the power lines were arcing.

Crews said they were working to get the power line secure and power restored to everyone in the neighborhood.
