Man To Appear In Court After Woman's Body Found In Home

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- The man arrested after police discovered a woman's body stuffed inside a trunk hidden in a closet is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

David Wayne Batty will appear before a judge on charges of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

Homicide detectives were called to the multi-family home on the 1400 block of 9th Ave in Greeley on March 16 and arrested Batty, 53.

The woman has been identified as Tonya Lei Webster, 47.

What led investigators to discover the body has not been released.

Greeley police say Batty has a history of domestic violence.
