City Council Hopes Micro-Apartments Will Help Affordable Housing Void

DENVER (CBS4)- More affordable housing is in the works after the Denver City Council moved forward with plans to help restore an historic building on South Broadway.

The developer wants to turn the property at 1st and Broadway into affordable micro-apartments.

On Monday night, the city council approved more than $2 million in tax breaks for the project.

Developers hope to begin construction this year.
