Man Struck By Lightning Released From Hospital

DENVER (CBS4)- A runner circling the City Park Golf Course who was injured by a lightning strike on Tuesday was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

The injured man was taken to the hospital in stable condition. It wasn't clear if he was hit by the bolt or debris from the splintered tree, which has a scar where it was hit.

Golfers on the course were ordered to stop for 20 minutes, but started up again with the storm still overhead. The course says they were playing at their own risk.

Lightning rolled down University in a black cloud on Monday afternoon. One house near the Denver Country Club was also struck. First responders did not find any fire in the home.
