Loveland Ski Area To Open Thursday

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4)- After unseasonably warm temperatures delayed the ski season in many parts of Colorado, Loveland Ski Area will open for the season on Thursday.

Lift 1 will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday to trails Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run.

"The waiting game is finally over," said Loveland Director of Business Operations Rob Goodell. "The persistent warm weather made things difficult this fall but our snow making team has done an amazing job getting the mountain ready for opening day."

Last season, Loveland Ski Area opened on Oct. 29.

Arapahoe Basin opened for the season on Oct. 21.

Keystone Resort is scheduled to open on Nov. 11 and Copper Mountain is aiming for Nov. 18.
