Some Sunshine on Thursday - But Storms Return By Afternoon

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - That cool front we talked about yesterday slid through the state over night bringing refreshingly cooler temperatures along with good steady showers and scattered thunderstorms. Our high was 19 degrees cooler than yesterday's high when we only reached 68 degrees officially at the airport!

For Thursday, we will start with sunny skies, then increasing clouds and the scattered showers and storms return by afternoon. The high will be warmer by about 10 degrees. Friday looks like more of the same: increasing clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms from the afternoon through the evening hours and a high back in the upper 70s.

The weekend will bring more sunshine and warmer temperatures with only isolated late day storms. Highs should warm to the low to mid 80s for both Saturday and Sunday..
