Cool Down Is Short Lived, Warmer Temps Return Soon

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - A chilly day for parts of Colorado! We stayed in the upper 40s for the Denver, hitting 49 degrees late in the afternoon. Clouds finally started to break in the Denver area by the evening, but we stayed socked almost all day. We for sure were feeling like fall for eastern Colorado today!

Overnight, more fog possible from the foothills to the plains. We may have a few areas socked in once again, but the clouds and fog should move out of town unlike today. Tomorrow, high pressure takes over the west and brings us warmer and drier conditions. We'll head to the mid 70s for much of eastern Colorado.

If that isn't warm enough for you, wait until Friday when we hit the low 80s. We stay warm and dry through the weekend, with a few showers possible in the mountains. Our next cool down and chance for rain heads our way either Monday night or Tuesday.
