Gas Leak Downtown Affects RTD Train Lines

DENVER (CBS4) - A gas main break in downtown Denver caused some delays to RTD lines Wednesday.

Xcel crews were on scene at 16th Street and California Street in the morning, and the issues persisted into the evening.

Due to the leak, RTD alerted riders that all downtown trains (H, F, and D) will be terminating at the Convention Center northbound, then will head back southbound.  The C Line is running every 30 minutes instead of 15 due to the leak but there was no service to the Rockies game.

"Passengers can also get on the D Line to Broadway Station and transfer to the E Line to Union Station," RTD said in a statement.

A train shuttle is running from that 16th & Stout Station to the 30th & Downing Station to accommodate Welton passengers.

There is a bus bridge between the Convention Center and the 20th & Welton station.
