Fire Crews Quickly Get Control Of Brush Fire

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Fire crews rushed to put out a fire in Jefferson County on Friday afternoon.

The brush fire broke out near the intersection of West 58th Avenue and McIntyre Street in Golden about 1:40 p.m. The fire burned about a half acre.

Copter4 flew over the fire which burned a small area in a field near homes. Flames were about 5-feet high and burning in dry brush.

What caused the fire is unknown.

Crews were able to get the fire contained and under control just before 2 p.m.
