Event Encourages Teens To Explore Women's Issues

There's a new scholarship opportunity for teenage girls. A week-long event encourages teens to explore women's issues. The Girls Leadership Council was created by the Women's Foundation of Colorado and Girls Inc. The study takes place this summer at DU where the girls will learn to be future leaders and philanthropists. The group will discuss high school drop out rates and learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math. At the end of the girls' leadership council, two participants will earn a $1,500 leadership award to support their college education. You can apply now at www.wfco.org.
