Man Accused Of Felony Assault In Boulder County In Custody

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A man wanted in connection with an assault in Boulder County has been arrested.

The incident happened late Saturday night near 75th Street and Arapahoe Road.

"When deputies arrived they found a 66-year-old male with facial injuries. He was treated at the scene by medical personnel," Cmdr. Heidi Prentup said in a statement.

An investigation revealed the man was allegedly assaulted by Anton Drexler, 40, during an argument.

"It was reported Drexler was armed with a shotgun at the time of the assault, but the weapon was not fired. A shotgun was recovered at the scene," Prentup said.

Drexler was arrested in Niwot Sunday afternoon. He's facing a series of charges including felony menacing, 2nd degree assault, burglary, and possession of a weapon by previous offender.
