Theater Shooting Victim's Mom Thanks Law Enforcement, Victim Advocates
DENVER (CBS4) - A woman who lost her son in the Aurora theater shooting thanked first responders, prosecutors and victims' advocates from Arapahoe County on Monday.
Theresa Hoover, mother of A.J. Boik, said thanks in an event inside the Denver Crime Lab Auditorium to everyone who tried to help her son. Boik died in the massacre inside an Aurora movie theater in 2012.
The gathering was part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
"Our families were filled with grief, questions, frustration and long sleepless nights. But the district attorney's office for the 18th Judicial District breathed and lived this case," Hoover said.
Hoover also had kind words for the other victims and families who testified at the trial of the gunman.

The audience stood and gave Hoover a round of applause after her comments.
