Once-Condemned Building To Be Turned Into Apartments

DENVER (CBS4) - A 100-year-old building once condemned by the City of Denver will be renovated into apartments.

The building at 16th Avenue and Washington Street used to be the Denver International Youth Hostel.

It was closed last summer because of serious fire code violations.

The owner says he sold the building because he couldn't afford to repair it.

Denver-based GM Development bought the property and plans to restore the building.
