Boulder Man Summits Everest Without Supplemental Oxygen

MT. EVEREST, Nepal (CBS4)- A man from Boulder made the trek to the summit of Mt. Everest without supplemental oxygen.

Cory Richards made it to the top and it was all documented on social media by his climbing partner Adrian Ballinger.

Richards achieved his goal overnight Monday and started making his way down on Tuesday morning.

Ballinger said he decided not to summit because of the cold.

The men have been using social media and #EverestNoFilter to document their journey.

Ballinger said fellow climbers are dealing with stolen oxygen bottles, poached tents and those getting too close to the edge.
