Aurora Police Say Man Shot By Officer May Have Been Suicidal

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Aurora say a man who was shot and killed by police might have been suicidal.

Officers were called to check on the man Friday afternoon. When officers arrived in the 3300 block of South Nucla Way they were confronted by the man in his driveway. He was holding a rifle and refused to drop his weapon. An officer fired his gun, striking him.

The man died a short time later at the hospital. His identity has not been released.
