A-Basin, Loveland Still Not Setting Exact Opening Dates
ARAPAHOE BASIN, Colo. (CBS4) - Despite a good dumping of snow, ski areas aren't ready to set opening dates.
Loveland Ski Area is eyeing late October or early November to open.
"The snow guns are still going strong at Loveland Ski Area. Our snowmakers got an early start and started making snow at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. Mother Nature has helped with 7 inches of new snow and it's still coming down hard," Loveland Ski Area said in a statement.

Arapahoe Basin says the fresh snow is hampering the snowmaking operation.
"It is still warm and it is snowing again. Much like the night before, the snowmakers turned the system on a couple of times in anticipation of a temperature drop. Unfortunately, the drop did not occur. We ran the system a little bit, but didn't make much snow," A-Basin said in a statement. "It would be great to be making snow this morning, but this (precipitation) probably equates to an overall net increase in snowmaking."
A few bigger areas plus Wolf Creek, which is getting a lot of snow in this storm, are set to open Nov. 6.
