43 New Police Officers Join Ranks Of Denver Force

DENVER (CBS4)- Police officers in Denver welcomed 43 new members to their ranks on Friday.

The cadets have already completed the academy portion of their training. Now they will begin field training.

"You will learn that if the community trusts you and they know you then they will become the greatest resource. They will provide you with endless information that will help you prevent crime," said Denver Police Chief Robert White. "So as you go forward be diligent and thoughtful in the use of your authority, learn to embrace change as a sign of growth and police with a purpose."

This is the third class of new officers to join the Denver Police Department in the past five years.
